Lobanov Mikhail Vladimirovich

PhD (Cand. Med. Sci.), Urologist of the highest category, Institute of Urology and Reproductive Health, Sechenov University

In 2013, Dr. Lobanov graduated from Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University with a degree in General Medicine. In 2015, he completed his clinical residency in Urology, and in 2018, finished his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Urology and Reproductive Health of the same university. In 2022, he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (PhD). His dissertation was devoted to contemporary surgical aspects of laparoscopic pyeloplasty.

He is the author of more than 15 articles published in leading Russian and international scientific journals and holds 7 patents. Dr. Lobanov regularly represents the Institute of Urology at national and international conferences and is an active member of the Russian Society of Urology (ROU).

His professional expertise includes endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries for urolithiasis, diseases of the upper and lower urinary tract, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and bladder tumors. He is also skilled in urogynecological interventions and innovative organ-preserving surgical techniques using 3D modeling.

Professional competencies:

• Endoscopic treatment of urolithiasis (ureteroscopy, retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PCNL), including mini-PCNL and aspiration sheath).
• Laparoscopic reconstruction of the upper urinary tract for strictures and vascular conflicts.
• Urogynecology: treatment of postcoital cystitis, removal of urethral polyps, paraurethral cysts, and sling procedures for urinary incontinence.
• Minor urology (phimosis, short frenulum, varicocele, hydrocele, cysts).
• Oncourology — surgical treatment of testicular malignancies.
• Active implementation and use of modern technologies: laser en-bloc resection, 3D modeling for planning surgeries for kidney tumors and stones.

Dr. Lobanov continually advances his professional qualifications and undertakes training with leading specialists, including the author’s course on percutaneous kidney surgery under Professor N.A. Grigoriev (2022).
