Diana Ivanovna Babaevskaya
MD, Urologist
In 2022, she graduated with honors from Sechenov University, with a degree in General Medicine. In 2024, she completed her clinical residency in Urology at the Institute of Urology and Human Reproductive Health, Sechenov University.
Since 2023, she has been pursuing postgraduate studies under the supervision of Prof. M.E. Enikeev. Her thesis is titled: “Comparative Analysis of Simultaneous and Staged Correction of Urogenital Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence.”
She is the author of more than 15 scientific publications in both international and Russian medical journals and regularly represents the university at various conferences.
Her main clinical and research focus lies in the field of uro-oncology with a particular focus on advancing surgical approaches to kidney tumors. She is also engaged in exploring new techniques in robot-assisted prostate surgery (nerve-sparing and anatomical approaches), as well as organ-preserving kidney surgery in oncological settings.
Her other area of interest is urogynecology. Together with her academic advisor, she works on implementing innovative and improving established methods of treating female stress urinary incontinence, including urethral ligament plication and mid-urethral sling procedures (TOT, TVT-O). In 2024, she received training in Istanbul from Emmanuel Delorme, one of the founders of these techniques.
